Sachin Tendulkar, one of the stupendous batsmen to have ever played the game of cricket, turned 47 yesterday. Since his debut in 1989, the Master Blaster played the sport for 24 long years giving his fans myriad evocations to revere, before he hung his boots in late 2013.

It’s been more than 6 years since Sachin last played the game, but he still holds umpteen records. On the occasion of his 47th Birthday, we look back at the 47 interesting statistics of his luscious career.

11211– Runs scored by Tendulkar other than bilateral series in tri-series and multi-nation series including ICC tournaments, no other batsman has scored more runs. 

1562- runs scored by Sachin in Test Cricket 2010, the most runs in a calendar year in longest format for India.

1894- runs scored by Sachin in ODI Cricket in 1998, the most runs in a calendar year in ODI cricket. 

3– Sachin was dismissed on 99 thrice in ODIs, all in the year 2007, the most of all batsmen in ODI. 

2058- The fours scored by Tendulkar in his test career, the most by any batsman. 

200* – After 200 not out against South Africa at Gwalior in 2010, Sachin became the first batsman to score a double century in ODIs.

27-  With 27 dismissal in the nervous nineties, the Little Master holds the record for the Most 90s across all forms of international cricket

96– Sachin has scored 96 half-centuries in ODIs the Most 50s by any batsmen in the format

673- The runs scored by Sachin in the 2003 edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup, the most runs in a single edition of the World Cup.

7- The number of times he has hit more than 1000 runs in ODIs in a calendar year, the most by any batsman. 

9– The number of ODI centuries by Sachin in 1998, most by any batsman. 

3113- Tendulkar has 3113 runs against Sri Lanka, which makes it the most runs by any batsman in ODI’s against a single team. 

21637 – The number of balls faced by Sachin Tendulkar in his ODI career, the most by any batsman in ODI cricket history.

2278- Tendulkar scored 2278 runs in World Cup cricket, another record that he holds in cricket. 

4- With 4 catches in Kolkata Knight Rider’s Innings in 2008 IPL, Sachin holds the joint record for the most catches in an IPL match. 

145- Sachin has 145 50+ scores in ODIs, again a record number of 50+ scores in ODI cricket. 

463- The Indian batsman appeared for India 463 times in ODI cricket, the Most ODI matches for any player. 

331- With a partnership of 331 with Dravid against New Zealand in 1999, Sachin-Dravid held the record for the highest ODI Partnership until 2015. They still hold the record for the highest 3rd wicket partnership. 

141- The number of teammates Sachin played within the Indian team. The most teammates anyone had in International cricket

6707– Sachin Tendulkar has scored 6707 runs against Australia which are the most international runs against a single opponent. The 2nd batsman on the list is also Sachin with 5108 runs against Sri Lanka. 

13492- With 13492 runs at the number 4 position in the whites, he holds the record for the most runs at No. 4 in Tests, also the most by a batsman at a single position

15310- He has 15310 runs as an opener in ODIs, the most by any batsman as an opener. No batsman has even scored over 15K runs overall in ODIs. 

9- The ‘GOD’ of cricket has scored centuries against 9 different opponents in Tests. A joint record held by him with 12 others. 

11- He also scored centuries against 11 countries in ODIs, Again a joint record held by him with Amla and Gayle
