Babar as a captain makes it easier to motivate the team

The prolific batsmen have recently taken charge of the ODI team after the central contract list was announced. Explaining the reason behind appointing him as captain, Misbah praised his skill to lead by example.

“Making him the T20 captain was a tester. We wanted to see how he will respond to this challenge. All of us agree that he has done a very good job and his biggest plus is that being among the worlds top players he leads by example,” quoted PTI as saying Misbah in the interview.

He also added that Babar is a world class player and a consistent performer and making him captain of the side is self explanatory.

“If you are a performer like Babar then it becomes easier for you to motivate the rest of the team and get things done,” added Misbah.

Babar always challenges himself

Speaking further the former Pakistani Skipper said, the best thing about the new Pakistan limited overs captain is that he challenges himself in every situation.

“He loves challenges in the nets and on the field. He has really matured as a player and in time he will get better as a captain with experience.”

“Babar doesn’t want to just be in the team or he doesn’t want to just play for the money. He wants to be the top performer for Pakistan. He is always pitting himself against other top batsmen like Kohli or Smith,”

said Misbah-ul-Haq.
