India Look To Continue 100% Record Against Bangladesh In Nidahas Trophy Final

India will be confident in getting the job done when they face Bangladesh in the final of the Nidahas Trophy T20 tri-series final at the R Premadasa stadium in Colombo on Sunday. As expected, India were the favourites to reach the final. Bangladesh meanwhile, turned on the heat against Sri Lanka to script two spectacular run-chases and rightly deserve a place to challenge for the trophy.
After two fascinating wins over Sri Lanka, Bangladesh have upped their T20 game like never before and now stand on the brink of turning a new chapter in this format for themselves. But what stands against them is their T20I form against India. They have never beaten their neighbours in the history of the format. Therefore, India goes into the match as runaway favourites.

STAT ATTACK: Bangladesh haven’t beaten India in seven T20Is in the history of the format.

India
Rohit Sharma will be ecstatic with the way India bounced back from the first match loss against the Lankans to win three back to back games. The bowling unit has done well and the batsmen too have played their part. The skipper himself has come back to form after hitting a splendid 89 against Sri Lanka.Prior to that in seven outings, Rohit had scored just 87 runs in total. Shikhar Dhawan has been in sublime touch and comeback man Suresh Raina too has looked brilliant in his approach in looking to be positive from the onset. KL Rahul will need to play out splendidly and give the impetus to the Indian batting.

Washington Sundar has taken his chance well and s0 has Vijay Shankar. The duo once again will be pivotal to provide the right balance. The likes of Yuzvendra Chahal, Jaydev Unadkat, and Shardul Thakur have gelled together as a trio and India will be wanting a collective show to stall the Bangladeshi batsmen. India is expected to have Unadkat back in place of Mohammed Siraj.

Bangladesh

The Tigers revelled in the chase against the Lankans in the backdrop of the ‘cobra dance’ and also the altercation in the field. Mahmudullah’s finishing move with a six helped them beat the hosts in style, but somewhat it was marred by the confrontation.
As expected, captain Shakib Al Hasan and squad member Nurul Hasan were fined 25 percent of their match fees and also handed one demerit point each. The likes of Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Mahmudullah have been exceptional and they have taken their responsibilities in a capable manner.
The return of skipper Shakib Al Hasan has served as a major boost. The bowlers will feel a sense of pride after reducing the Lankans to 41/5, and that will give them some much-needed zeal to go all out against India, who are a different ball game altogether.
Mehidy Hasan too brought out his best game and has looked in comfort. Bangladesh will also be going with the same playing XI that beat Sri Lanka.

Pitch and Conditions

Reports state that 50 percent chance of thundershowers during late afternoon and early evening is predicted. But it will not affect the game much.

Probable Teams
