West Indies batsman Chris Gayle is one of the big names who has been picked by Kandy Tuskers. The local icon that has been picked up by the Tuskers is Kusal Jenith while the second foreign icon is Liam Plunkett.

Kings on the other hand have got some big international names like Angelo Mathews, Faf du Plessis and Andre Russell. While Mathews is known for his all-round abilities, Faf is someone who can play the anchor’s role in the top-order. Russell’s power-hitting ability is known to everyone while he is pretty handy in the bowling unit as well as in the field.

Some other iconic players include Lasith Malinga, Shahid Afridi, Colin Ingram, David Miller and Carlos Brathwaite.

Malinga, Afridi and Ingram have been signed by Galle Gladiators while Miller and Brathwaite will be a part of the Dambulla Hawks setup.

The T20 tournament will be played from November 21 to December 13 at two venues.
