The biggest game in European club football is here as French champions Paris Saint-Germain take on Bundesliga winners Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League final in Lisbon on Sunday night.

It will be PSG’s first-ever Champions League final appearance, with Thomas Tuchel’s side cruising past RB Leipzig in the semi-finals. The French giants sweated very little to register an emphatic 3-0 victory over Bayern Munich‘s domestic rivals and book their pass for the epic showdown in Lisbon.

PSG vs Bayern Munich: Prediction

Sunday’s final has all the ingredients to be one of the most high scoring encounters in the history of the UEFA Champions League finals.

Bayern Munich’s form has been ridiculously consistent over the last few months, with the Bavarians scoring a total of 41 goals in only 10 Champions League matches this season, thus averaging 4.1 goals per 90 minutes.

Star striker Robert Lewandowski has scored in every Champions League game he has played this season, netting 15 times in just nine outings.

However, on the defensive front, the Bundesliga champions looked far from convincing as Lyon opened up the Bayern defence with ease on numerous occasions in the semi-finals.

PSG, on the other hand, will be expecting their star-studded frontline to come good on such a big night. Their front three of Neymar, Kylian Mabappe, and Angel Di Maria would certainly fancy their chances against Bayern Munich’s high-defensive line on Sunday.

In comparison to Bayern, PSG do have a much more compact and organized defensive structure, conceding only four times in 10 Champions League matches this season.

Keeping everything in mind, Bayern Munich will head into Sunday’s Champions League final as favorites as they have the firepower to outscore any team at this moment.
