“I believe the improvement this team has shown while playing fast bowling since 2013 has been because of Raghu,” Kohli said during an Instagram Live session with Bangladesh star Tamim Iqbal.

Playing Raghu in nets helps us time better in matches

Praising Raghu, the prolific scorer, said that the former has improved his skill so much that he easily hurls the ball at 150-155 kmph using sidearm.

“He has good concepts about footwork, bat movement of players. He has improved his skills so much that from sidearm he easily hurls the balls at 155 kmph.”

He also added that playing the Indian cricketing staffs at such pace helped the team to time the ball better in match situation as everyone gets used to of kmph around pace.

“After playing Raghu in nets, when you go into the match, you feel there is a lot of time,” Kohli added.

I never had self doubt

The chase master further said in the show that he never had any kind of self doubt, not even at times while shaping the chase of big scores.

“To be honest, I never doubted myself in game situations. Everyone who is human has doubts and weaknesses. Have their negatives. So in practice during tours, if you haven’t had a good session you feel you don’t have that flow.

In the show, when asked about negative things, he replied that negative things might come in mind when you are off the field and not in competition while in matches you react according to situation rather than thinking so much; it’s the best thing. Kohli added.
