Real Madrid Transfers: 3 realistic signings Los Blancos can make

La Liga giants Real Madrid are known for ‘buying’ the best players in the world. Club president Florentino Perez can be credited for his exploits with the ‘Galacticos’ of the past, but he has refrained from following the same policy on a consistent basis in recent years.

Real Madrid are increasingly investing in young players, rather than roping in established stars. The likes of Vinicius Junior, Kubo, and Rodrygo have all joined one of the biggest clubs in world football, despite being teenagers, in all modesty.

The transfer market hasn’t been the same since Neymar’s mind-numbing move to Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona in the summer of 2017.

Real Madrid are aware of the fact that they cannot spend €100 million every summer as UEFA’s strict Financial Fair Play rules have come into effect. This is why they are busy preparing a team based on young-prodigious players.

With that said, here are three players Real Madrid could sign in the upcoming transfer window.

#3 Kingsley Coman

Few players in world football boast the kind of CV Kingsley Coman has. Aged just 23, the Frenchman has already represented Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Bayern Munich in his relatively short career.

Sky Germany recently reported that if Bayern Munich can sign Leroy Sane, then they would allow Coman to leave at the end of the season.

The report also adds that Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also interested in signing the France international. At his age, Coman has already won league titles and cup competitions in France, Germany and Italy, which is a very rare feat.

Buying him would add a winning mentality to the dressing room, while the player is adept at playing on either wing, which is another prospective sign.

Coman would be a good addition for Real Madrid, given he’s valued at €40 million, which is quite a bargain for a player of his level.

#2 Fabian Ruiz

Since moving to Napoli from Real Betis in 2018, Fabian Ruiz has become a regular with the Spanish national team. A player who can operate anywhere across the midfield, his versatility makes him an asset for any team.

This is exactly why Real Madrid are lining up a move for the Spaniard as per Diario AS. He has contributed three goals and two assists in 32 appearances across all competitions in the present campaign.

However, it seems Real Madrid will not find it easy to lure Ruiz to the Bernabeu as he is tracked by several clubs across Europe. Also, Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis, being the shrewd negotiator he is, won’t let the 24-year-old go for cheap.

Having said that, the player himself is very keen to move back to his native country, while Real Madrid also need a midfield general, given Luka Modric will be 35 later this year. This looks like a match made in heaven.

#1 Eduardo Camavinga

Real Madrid’s number one target in the upcoming transfer window though, is a 17-year-old French wunderkind who has been among the brightest prospects in Ligue 1 in the 2019-20 season

Eduardo Camavinga, despite his tender age, has been widely linked with a move to the Spanish capital. Although he plays as a defensive midfielder, the teenager has still contributed one goal and two assists across all competitions for Rennes in the present campaign. His stats in terms of passing, interceptions and tackles are also very impressive.

Real Madrid do not have a natural replacement for Casemiro, so signing Camavinga should be a priority. And being a French player, Zinedine Zidane would love to have him under his wings.

However, Real Madrid could well have to splash the cash to sign Camavinga, but it would undoubtedly be money well-spent, given he’s a young player with sky-high potential.
