You can call it the greatest sporting battle on the face of the earth. You can call it the magnum opus of Football and Soccer. Fans can give new anointments debating their much-loved sport in the wee hours of the night.

Suffice to say that the FIFA World Cup 2018 is on

Greatness starts here. So does a massive pursuit to chase the all-encompassing glory.
The math is simple but the road ahead, feisty and the climb to chase the crown-up hill.
32 teams in a pursuit of 1 crown, split into 8 groups with 4 teams in each vying for the top spot to clinch the top-most position.
Every league game will be tough, every quarter-final worth fighting for every drop of sweat and, every semi-final fight- worth savouring before the titanic duel arrives in form of the final-contest.
There will be teardrops. There will be sweat. On most days, expect a tough time in separating the two.

Why’s the FIFA World Cup 2018 so significant?

Out here in the communist heartland of Russia, capitalism will win displaying a full range of commercial might.
How else are you to justify the mega winnings up for grabs?
Never before has FIFA unfurled as big a prize as the mega cash prize it is dispensing this time around- a whopping $39 million for the winning team.
Offering a grand $120 million more than what was spent in the last edition of the World Cup, FIFA World Cup 2018 is all set to unfurl a grizzly of $400 million to the participating teams.
It isn’t always that Russia excites a divided world, bringing it together to appreciate that lies ahead of the “Iron Curtain”, instead of what lurks behind in Putin-land.
The greatest players in the sport- including the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar da Silva, Christiano Ronaldo- followed by fashionable heavyweights of the sport in Ramos, Kroos, Ozil, Jesus, Kane and others are slated to clash head-on in a tournament where the greatest glory is enough to lift spirits for a lifetime.

Key maths behind the ultimate prize in the 32-team tournament

Argentina hasn’t won another World Cup since 1986. Their triumph, 32 years back in time was their next following their win in 1978. All hopes, therefore, rest on Messi.
Germany is a real heavyweight of the tournament with as many as 4 World Cup titles. They are expected to gather their fifth World Cup title.
While Christiano Ronaldo has to his glory 5 wins in Copa America,  a World Cup still eludes the greatest footballer around Messi.
Brazilians have, to their credit, the iconic feat of winning the most number of World Cup crowns. At 5, they are set to clinch their sixth title.
With 16 goals, the most scored in the history of the FIFA World Cup, Germany’s Miroslav Klose has to his credit a world-breaking, envy-inspiring feet.
7 Brazilian legends have the astonishing achievement against their name, having scored more than 9 goals in the FIFA World Cup, including- Rivaldo, Vava, Ademir, Leonidas, Ronaldo, Pele, Jairzinho
Not Messi, not Christiano Ronaldo and not even Neymar have to their credit- up to 8 goals in the World Cup.

Starting 1990, the final scores in FIFA World Cup read as the following:

1-0, 0-0, 3-0, 2-0, 1-1, 1-0, 1-0
Out of these, on 4 occasions did the game go on to “extra time” and, 2 went to “penalty shootouts”
